Hey, my name is David Clarke
Hi, I’m David Clarke — a father of four and the photographer behind Harford Photo Lab. My passion for sports photography grew from years spent on the sidelines capturing the moments that matter most while watching my children compete in soccer and lacrosse. What started as a way to preserve memories for my own family quickly became a true love for freezing the emotion, intensity, and excitement of youth sports through photography.
As both a parent and photographer, I understand how meaningful these moments are for athletes and their families. My goal is to deliver dynamic, high-energy images that capture not just the game, but the story, passion, and personality behind every athlete.
My approach
My approach to photography is centered around capturing authentic moments, emotion, and energy. I love photographing athletes in the middle of competition — the intensity, focus, excitement, and passion that make sports so special. Whether it’s a game-winning goal, a sideline celebration, or a split-second action shot, I aim to preserve the moments athletes and families never want to forget.
Beyond live action photography, I also enjoy creating personalized athlete sessions that recreate and elevate those defining moments in a more creative and controlled environment. These sessions allow athletes to showcase their personality, confidence, and style through dynamic sports portraits and custom edits.
Another area I’m passionate about is Team Media Day photography. From individual player portraits to full team branding shoots, I work with teams to create high-quality media content that gives athletes a professional-level experience and provides teams with standout imagery for banners, social media, graphics, and season promotions.
